The Lion Within Us - Leadership for Christian Men
Christian men are in a battle for their lives. Satan will do everything possible to destroy them. The Lion Within Us is a community that provides encouragement to become the leaders God intends us to be. Our main focus lies within three categories: Health (Mental/Physical), Wealth (Careers/Finances) and Self (Husbands/Fathers/Brothers in Christ). By sharpening these areas of our lives, we can find the strength needed to stand firm in our faith and unleash the Lion Within.

One late-night drive, one exhausted dad, and one honest prayer on the shoulder of the interstate changes everything. Kenny Osborne spent years with plenty of church exposure and Bible knowledge, yet realized he wasn’t producing any fruit because he wasn’t actually leaning on the Lord. When the pressure of special needs fatherhood, fear for the future, and the collapse of “I can handle it” finally hit, he did what many men avoid until the last moment: he cried out to God and surrendered for real.

Welcome To The Lion Within Us
Chris GraingerWelcome to the Line Within Us, a podcast serving Christian men who are hungry to be the leaders God intends you to be. I'm your host, Chris Granger. Let's jump in.
Scripture On Marriage And Unity
Chris GraingerAll right, guys. So we got a member spotlight, but you don't get to meet the member quite yet. We're going to look at our scripture the week first because we always want to prioritize God's word in each and every episode. So Matthew 19, 6 is the scripture this week. So they are no longer two but one flesh, therefore, what God has joined together. No person is a separate. So we took some time this week. We unpacked this idea of marriage and dug into that a little bit deeper. Hopefully you guys were encouraged by that. And then that scripture, fellas, in the spiritual kickoff podcast, go back and listen to it. And if you liked the SKO podcast, which we know a lot of you guys do, check out the daily SKO. I do it Monday through Friday at The Lion. It's free. It's our way to serve you, to encourage you. Like right now, I'm just working through the Gospel of John. That's all we're doing. Just reading little bits of the Gospel of John each and every day. And hopefully you'll be encouraged by it. So you can go to the lionwithin.us to sign up for that.
Daily Devotions And Prayer Community
Chris GraingerAnd then you have access to the daily SKO. But the cool part is you also have access to our prayer request space where we pray together every Monday. And then you can share your prayer request 24-7. The response has been incredible, guys. For guys who see the prayer request, they're responding, they're they're chiming in, they're they're sharing uh Bible verses just to help each other. Just this week, we had two of our members who lost family members, and this the way I've seen guys pour into each other, it's just been it's been incredible. So all that's available to you. And if you're in a continental U.S., we'd love to send you a free gift. So just go sign up for this kind of stuff, guys, and get started. Literally, there are no hurdles, there are no head, there's nothing to jump over. We just want to serve you and help you out. So check it out at thelionwithin.us.
Meet Kenny Osmore
Chris GraingerSo, guys, we're going to get to the what you come here for, and that's to meet one of our awesome members at the Lions. So, and proud, I'm happy to introduce to you guys, Kenny Osmore. So, Kenny, how are you doing today, man? I'm I'm very well. Thank you so much, Chris. Hope you are. I'm doing good, brother. Doing good. Looking forward to to chatting with you, man, because it's always good to have a fella North Carolinian, man. That's how we're at we're out here truly in God's country, bud. In God's country, that's exactly right.
Kenny OsborneDon't advertise it too much because the folks are coming coming fast enough as it is.
Chris GraingerThat's right. See, Stephen Morris and a lot of these guys like to pick on me because I'm in North Carolina. I'm like, look, boys, I can be at the beach in a couple hours, I can be in the mountains in a couple hours, and y'all just need to back up off me because y'all don't even you don't understand how awesome it is out here, man. It's pretty nice.
Kenny OsborneMy family came here in 1753 and have lived in the same river valley. Uh not the same exact area, but the same river valley, the Akin River Valley, the whole time. So yeah, we're we're a little fond of it. That's right. That's right. It's working, might as well stick with it, right? That's it. So far, so good.
Chris Grainger260 something seventy-some years. There you go. There you go.
Church Kid Without Relationship
Chris GraingerWell, I mean, Kenny, love for you to share with the guys out there just a little bit about your testimony, man, how you came to know the Lord and things like that.
Kenny OsborneWell, I appreciate the opportunity. I really do. Um, I was uh I always like to uh throw a little disclaimer out there that anything I say is not designed to make anyone question their faith. I I want to say that upright. My situation was was a little bit different than than probably most, but I I grew up uh in church. I I um went to a Christian school in kindergarten through third grade, and I'll be honest with you, probably could quote more scripture then, maybe than I can even now. I just but the thing was I I I I guess I had quite a bit of knowledge, but I had no relationship and no faith. And um as I got older, I just kind of hung my hat on that that I was saved. And and I'm sure that if any given point through my early adult years, someone asked me, and I'd I'd have said that I was. And um, but I I slowly learned as I got older and through different life experiences that I did not lean in on the Lord whatsoever. I I very rarely prayed. I I very got to where I very rarely read my Bible. And you know, as we know that uh we you'll know them by the fruits. And when I finally realized that I wasn't producing any fruits, and um it just kind of came to reality. And um in 2017, um, just just past so yeah, just past the nine, yeah, just past the nine-year mark. Um, and I guess what led me um to that point is um I had grown up playing baseball and I mean I loved baseball. My dad had a had a had and have an excellent father, very involved and very encouraging, and he raised me to believe in myself, and which there's nothing wrong with that. That's that's a good thing. And his intentions were certainly were certainly admirable, but yeah, he might have done just a too good a little bit too good of a job, if I'm gonna be honest with you. Um I became just a little bit too proud and a little too confident and too dependent on on my skills and and things to try to get through life. And and it worked like like a lot of guys, it worked for a while and and up through college and playing ball and played at Appalachian State and enjoyed that and good times, ended up getting a good job that I that I really wanted being a game board in North Carolina.
Baseball Pride And Self-Reliance
Kenny OsborneUh that's where you went.
Chris GraingerYou went to you went to App State?
Kenny OsborneI did, yeah. I graduated from Appalachian State in 1997 and then went to work for the Wildlife Commission in 1997. And so went right there. Were you playing baseball there? It was, it was baseball, yes, sir. Yeah. And I finished in um 1997 at Appalachian, finished my baseball career, and uh was fortunate enough to figure out why I was there. I might as well get an education too. That certainly wasn't the reason I ran. I went to hit a baseball, is what I went for, but um you know, like a lot of well believe I'm I'm not a very tall guy, I'm about 5'10, but I was a first baseman, probably the shortest first baseman in the country, I would imagine. Because those most of those guys are about 6'2, 6'3, and up. So I was a left-hander, so it was just a natural, you know, it was my natural position. So and I loved it. And baseball taught me a lot of things, and it and it did build a lot of confidence, but unfortunately it caused me to to lean on myself too much. And um you know, that that worked for a while, at least I I thought it was working, I guess it would be a better way to say it. But in um in 2001, I well, let me back
Parenting Trials And Family Loss
Kenny Osborneup just a bit. In 2000, um, I I married a lady and and she had a daughter, a two-year-old daughter, and I adopted that girl, love her to death to this day. And she just gave me my first grandson. Uh, we're gonna be celebrating his one-year-old birthday this this coming weekend. Um Yeah, but in 2001, um, my son was born, and and his name is Davis, and you know, initially he he everything looked good and and he was healthy and happy and just everything was looking up. And uh but as he got older, as the months went by, he wasn't beating his crawling milestones and his walking milestones and talking and things like that. And then when he got to be 18 months, he started having really bad um seizures, the full blown grandma seizures, and had to spend about a week in Brenner's um children's hospital around cr just prior to Christmas of uh 2000 and that would have been uh 2002. And yeah anyway, my dreams of furthering my base love of baseball and and and just life in general and all the things is you know, every man wants to teach his son started looking a little bit different. You know, I started realizing that maybe this isn't gonna be the road we go, but I but I loved the boy, you know, I did. I loved him with all my heart and still do. And um as he got older and bigger, his his behavioral uh issues became more and more. And to kind of skip through all of that, presently he's about six foot two, two hundred pounds, and you know, twenty-five years old. So he's he's a big guy. And um but it was weighing on me, it was weighing on me heavily, and and in 2005, his mother decided that she didn't want to be married anymore. And so she left and uh we we agreed to take one week with the kids. We did we did like 50-50 custody with the kids, one week on and one week off, and that worked for a little while. Uh eventually my daughter came to live with me full-time from problems they were having or whatever, and um, you know, ultimately she did walk away totally from her son as well. And um, so I've had pretty much round the clock care for him for for for several years now. And you know, it it it works on you, I won't lie. Um I love him to death, but it but it's a it's a stressful environment. So anyway, one night and um it was September the third, actually, um 2017, I was coming
The Night He Finally Surrendered
Kenny Osbornehome. I'd been working over on Lake Norman and coming home late at night and everything just kind of bored in on me. I was, you know, problems with my son, fears for my son, concern for his future. I had tried to date some and you know, unfortunately had the the poor poor thought that that I needed to find him a mother and think, you know, things like that. And anyway, that always ended in failure, of course, and but one night it just it hit me like a load of bricks. I was coming up with I-77, getting ready to get on I-40, and and I just um man, I just I I just broke down and crying, just I mean, what what is this life what what how have I you know how is then not a question, but how I have failed my children. And I just cried out to God. I'd always heard of crying out to God, but I pulled over on the side of the interstate and and I cried out to God that, you know, although I thought I could do everything and I could fix everything and I could make everything right, I had realized that I cannot and that I need your help. And obviously he did not speak to me audibly, but just the same, he spoke just as clear as he was sitting right there to me, that I needed to turn my life over and surrender to him. And I did that that very night. And I would love to tell you that the next day my son hit the baseball field and ran around and and everything got better, and you know, and and and and it, you know, he he didn't, he didn't. He still struggles and it's still a it's still a battle. But man, has my perspective changed. Um God has given me peace with this situation and I am content. I am happy, I know that my son is happy. He is my witnessing partner. We go in twos as is is as the Bible sometimes suggests. He is my number two man. And uh we do a lot of witnessing, a lot of small mission type, just local mission things around the community, and he is um the biggest blessing of my life. Uh he he has the Lord used him to chisel away the most stubborn, proud, hard-headed, mule-headed man you will have ever met. Yeah, it broke me down to where I had no choice but to turn to God. And he he was there for me, and I will be eternally grateful.
Fruit Grows In The Valley
Chris GraingerMan. And and so he I I can't rem and I should remember, but is he can he speak? Is he verbal? Is he?
Kenny OsborneHe speaks about 15 to 20 words that I can understand. Um you would have a hard time understanding. It would sound like Bible to you. Um I'm so a lot of children like that uh are very um routine oriented. They're very yeah, so I can't a lot of it's the context, it's just I use the context of what he wants as much as what he actually says because I just know he's easy to predict because it's he looks for the same things in the same type of situations.
Chris GraingerRight.
Kenny OsborneYeah, but he's a he's I like to say that he's a six foot two, two hundred pound one-year-old is essentially well, he's about a one-year-old mental level. And um he can walk, but you but you gotta be holding on to him. You know, he's he can't walk well by himself.
Chris GraingerMan, wow. Well, had I mean, it sounds like at that moment in 2017, God did a mighty work in your heart. So I mean kind of walk us through what some of the I mean, obviously the peace that came, but how has that what does that look like?
Kenny OsborneLike I said, I I had um I had slowly through through the way the way God works, he works in his timing. And he knew what he knew when it was right. He knew he knew he had to get me. I mean, I'm telling you, I was I was stubborn, I was a hard-headed fella. And uh, and I mean, don't get me wrong, I still have some tendencies from time to time. Right, right, right. But I'm a long way from where I where I was. But um I've been kind of examining myself and and and looking for that fruit that I talked about. And I always like to qu quote Billy Graham it the mountaintops are for views and inspiration, and that's very true, but man, the fruit is grown in the valleys. Right. And I'm here to tell you that as a person that's experienced that, there is no there is no greater truth. And and James tells us to find, you know, count it all joy as we face various trial trials and tribulations. Uh, because it it it builds our faith, you know, and it does. So so anyway, I started examining my fruits, of which I found none. So then at that point, um, you know, it was a slow process at the beginning, trying to figure out how to plug in and do things, but I got uh back involved in church. I I um I got back heavily in my Bible, got back in my prayer time, things like that, obviously. But with Davis, I wanted, like I said, I want to involve him in it because I know that every human being on this world, on this, in this planet has a purpose, and I know he had a purpose. It might look a lot different than most, but I knew he had one. And uh the Lord has used him uh along with me. We do a produce um ministry where we basically uh farm, you know, just typical squash corn, you know, things like that, nothing fancy. But and we go to farmers markets, but we don't charge. We just we we give our stuff away. And and um, you know, when we do it, we tell them Jesus loves them. And and Davis has created such an opportunity because of when we go to anywhere out in public like that. I usually take him in a wheelchair just because it's it's just it's a lot easier on him and it's easier on me with his being so big. And the curiosity that he causes, people have a natural curiosity about Davis, and it it brings them in, uh brings people out to talk to me that that I probab they probably wouldn't give me a second look. Uh so he truly holds value there. I mean he really brings something to the game and um and they love on him, and while they're loving on him, I tell them how much Jesus loves on them, and then I usually share a little bit of our story and how Jesus has gotten me through some some really difficult times, even prior to me being saved, and he was faithful to me when I was yet just nothing but a horrible sinner. And how he has continued and it's strengthened since then, and how my perspective has changed in that I still cry after God, and that's it's okay. And uh God has not failed me one time. Not once.
Chris GraingerAmen to that. 100%, brother. What a powerful testimony. And I know you also you're a game warden for a long time.
Finding God In The Outdoors
Chris GraingerMaybe speak to for me, I always just feel like I connect best with God in the woods, man. What what does that look like for you and that profession that you chose?
Kenny OsborneYeah, I've always loved the outdoors. I didn't hunt as probably much as most guys would think for that type of career. I I did hunt, but it was minimal. My dad worked, he was one of those dads that worked all the time. He was he gave me what he had. I assure you, he did a great job. He he he gave me the time he had, but it was usually around baseball. But I really started getting into into the outdoors when I went off to college, got in with some buddies and hunting and fishing, and started really pouring into that. And when I realized that the that the big leagues weren't going to be calling, like maybe I had thought for so many years, that I thought, man, I'm gonna have to get a job. Yeah. What what what better what better thing could I find than to do something out in the you know outdoors? And yeah, I had fortunately just God placed things in my life, even like I said at that point, I wasn't even saying, would have thought I would have told you that I was, but truthfully, I was not. But God put things into my um into my path into my path that that I I met a a really close friend that was in the process of getting hired, and he ended up getting hired and gave me all he said this is for you, this is what you need to do. So in 97, I put well, 96, I put my application in, and it took about a six month process, and by 97 I was hired and and went off to the academy. But um, yeah, it was I I never I really felt like I never worked a day of my life. Don't get me wrong, when 30 years was well, it was actually it's 30 credible years, but but it was more like 26 and a half actual years were gone. It was time to move on and do something different, but man, I loved it. I really did love my job. And and I miss it. Yeah.
Chris GraingerYeah. Man, that's so cool, brother. Well, and and I'll maybe share with the guys out there how how did you get connected with the lion?
How Kenny Found The Lion
Chris GraingerWhat was your connection point there?
Kenny OsborneWell, I I had uh I had started uh a Bible study with some with some law enforcement guys, some wildlife guys reaching outside into into sheriff's departments and things like that, and and doing some small scale stuff, and I was I was looking to expand it. It was fairly recent. I think I've been on about three, maybe three or four months. Um and I was on the Bible app. I think that's from what I hear, that seems to be a pretty common thread of people that are drawn here. And I came across one that was uh the 30-day ready plan or something along those lines, and for lit for men, you know, leadership, men's ministry, or something along those lines. And I thought, man, that's that's I need to, you know, I'm looking for content to put into Bible studies to help guide me. And I really enjoyed it. I think probably about a third or fourth day of the 30 days I had connected um with the line with you, you know, or reached subscribed, I guess, to the SKO. And and what really impressed me was you reached out so quick, and I've heard that so much from most all the guys, and I was like, man, this, you know, I looked, I could see that there were quite a few members, and and you know, I said, this guy took the time to to reach out to me. But but I gotta be honest, I'm by nature, I I spent the last seven years that I worked as a game warden on in the undercover investigative team, and I dig I dig deep on stuff, and I'm scared, and I'm a skeptical person, and it's the it'll start out sounding bad, but I'm still here, so I assure you the end is a good story. Um so I did a little digging into who is Chris Granger, and uh, I don't have obviously the resources that I had three years ago, but I still have enough open source stuff that I know how to work through. Man, the first thing I found is a Chris Granger out of Illinois that was charged with fraudulent stuff in a church and this, that, and the other. And I thought, man, I knew it was too, it's always too good to be true. I said, Well, in fairness, in fairness to this man, let me pull, well, make sure that I'm looking at the same guy. So I pull up this guy's mugshot and I find you, and I say, Whoa, that ain't that's not the same guy. That's not those two girl strangers in the world. So if anybody ever questions you that, it there is one out there with some questionable background in the track. I got you, but it's not you. And then you tell them to call me, and I've I've done the digging, and uh and uh it was it was even furthered. One thing that really pressed me, you of course you offered the 30 days, and I said, Man, I got nothing to lose. You know, of course I'll jump in that. So I jumped in that, and I tell you, I day two or three, I was I was sold. I was like, nah, we're I'm standing this. But on around the 28th, 29th day or something, you send me an email reminding me that y'all are fixing to, you know, charge on the on the paid portion, of course, that I'm talking about that I had gone into, that y'all were gonna charge my card, so to make sure that I was committed to staying. And I'm like, that's unheard of. That is unheard of in today's world that you're gonna remind me a day or reminding me that if I don't want to be charged, I need to get out. And I I was already sold, but that just that just solidified it. Brother, I just want to take this opportunity to thank you for what you're doing because this is needed greatly. I see it myself. It is needed greatly. It is a strong movement in the the whole men's ministry, but the line in particular is growing. I I love seeing it, and what you're doing is is invaluable. I I appreciate you very much. You are doing God's work, and I thank God for that, and I thank you for that.
Chris GraingerYeah. Well, thank you for that, Kenny. I mean, that's awesome. Yeah, it's uh it grows and it's it's growing, I think, because we are trying to be authentic and just being transparent, and and uh I don't have a rap sheet like that old boy in Illinois, but I mean I ain't I ain't perfect either.
Kenny OsborneHey, none of us are brother. I told some I I don't know. Are you familiar with Celebrate Recovery by chance?
Chris GraingerOh, yeah. I've had several Celebrate Recovery guys on the pod.
Kenny OsborneYeah. I help I help our church host one and I help with that program, and I gave my testimony to them. And you know, I'm talking to a room full of folks that's been in prison, and here I am, a retired law enforcement officer. What can I tell these folks that they're gonna listen to? You know, and I said, look, our sins may be look may look different. I'm sure that they probably do, but rest assured out of busted hell wide open if it were not for Jesus, just like you would. That's right. If it were not for Jesus. So it really doesn't matter what your sins are. What matters is who forgives them and who redeems them.
Chris GraingerAmen.
Mastermind Brotherhood And Accountability
Chris GraingerAnd I know you've even leaned into our mastermind groups now, and you're just getting started with that. But how's that been so far just getting going?
Kenny OsborneI tell you, I I saw it really as much as anything initially before I got into it as an opportunity just to kind of to to to to um to help the line, you know, just support, financially support the line a little bit. Because I because I do, like I said, I'm very feel very strongly about what you're doing. And once I got in there, uh I had already kind of connected with Adam Rushing a little bit. And when you threw him out there, I'm like, oh, this is gonna be a good, a good, a good match. We have a a common friend that we were able to tie to, right? I think the first day. We ever met and a game warden that he knows down in Stanley Town.
Chris GraingerYeah, he was telling me about that.
Kenny OsborneIt was a pretty cool story. But uh anyway, so we just kind of had that instant little connection. And so I was tickled that he was the leader. And then I got there and met all those guys, and I'm telling you, you you what you all you know this better than I do. That's a solid group of guys. I'm sure all the masterminds are that way, but I really I'm certainly the new guy, but uh I like it. I like it a lot. And now I would say that, you know, even if it weren't for wanting to support, it's just worth the money. You know, it's just worth the money to do it. But that isn't what got me into it, but that's what you know what what I see now. There is tremendous value in there. And it it helps me because I I know that every two weeks I'm gonna meet with these guys, and we we're making our little goals up and our steps and things, you know. And I do a little coach, a little Christian coaching as a ministry as well, and I know how important that is, but I also know how important accountability is that you need somebody that you can go talk to and and hold you. And uh the fact that I know that that's coming up, it it it you know, it might be 11 o'clock at night, and I may be 30 minutes shy on my Bible reading goal for the day, but I know I man, I you know, don't get me wrong, I'm doing it for the Lord, but that's that little extra that little extra incentive to say, man, I don't I don't want to let the I I don't want to let the Lord down, but I don't let these guys down either.
Chris GraingerRight.
Kenny OsborneThey're awesome. They really are. They're awesome. I love them to death.
Chris GraingerThat's so cool, brother. That's so cool. I mean, it sounds like you're I mean you've leaned in and and we're so appreciative. I definitely am on how how supportive you've been and encouraging, and we're even trying to line up on a maybe an event to come out to your church, man. It's just it's pretty cool to see what's ahead. I'm looking forward to this. We haven't forgotten you.
Kenny OsborneI'm staying on the preacher. Bless his heart. You know, and he may, I may end up sending this to him whenever it comes out. So hopefully by then it'll be they're still working on some dates, but he wants you to come. That's that's that that decision is made. It's just a trying to figure out when it's gonna be. And I said, well, that's one's traveling. I said, he's going all over the country. Y'all need to get on his calendar whenever it's gonna be. So I'm I'm I'm I'm weekly reminding them, I'm nudging them. But you know, you know us baptists Baptists, I'm Baptists, us baptists. We move kind of slow sometimes, but but we are moving. We are moving.
Chris GraingerBut a good thing about a Baptist event, usually I'll eat good at those, you know. So really.
Kenny OsborneIn fact, this Saturday we're not really doing a speaker anything, and this was last minute because I was like, I we're not even gonna ask him because this was last minute, but we just do this together at breakfast. But if you ain't doing nothing, just come eat with us. So there you go. We'll we'll cook a big old breakfast. You won't leave hungry for sure. Like you said, that's a Baptist tradition.
Chris GraingerThat's right. That's right.
Challenge To Take The First Step
Chris GraingerWell, man, Kenny, I mean, there may be guys listening and they they've heard your testimony and they've heard about the lion, and and but they haven't taken any step with us yet, you know, so far as the daily SKO or Lion's Den or anything like that. What would be your message to that guy right now?
Kenny OsborneYou absolutely need to take that step. I'm telling you that you that I can't imagine you being more um questionable than I was about anything online. And we we all know why. There's there's obviously plenty of examples out there. Uh my background, uh, just you know, I just don't trust anything I see. But he passes the test. I'm telling you, this this site is legitimate. It is good. Chris does a great job. All the other guys, he's got a lot of guys helping him. Adam uh Sheets does that, fills in on the SKO from time to time. I'm gonna tell you, that man is solid. He it's a different approach, it's a different style. He cuts himself way short by saying he's the playing the second fiddle. Um, you do a fabulous job, but Adam does a fabulous job. He really does. I really enjoy that. But but please lean in because um, like I say, the SKO doesn't even cost anything. I mean, you have no you have nothing to lose by trying that. And in the den itself, you know, there's a 30-day, I guess y'all, as far as I know, you're still doing that. And I mean, you know, and he's gonna send you an email if you forget. Like I said, yeah, it's it's not like they're gonna hide your number away for the next six years, and you're gonna realize that over the last six years you've paid whatever amount of money, and it's it's awesome. It is it has blessed me. Uh, there's all levels of maturity of creative, just as you would expect, as you would anticipate seeing. There's guys that you can pour into, and there's guys that can pour into you, uh, regardless of where you're at in your walk. And I would encourage you to look hard at that. I've I've my my personal friends, I've got them. I've I'm trying I'm working on them. I've got a couple that are checked, the SKO guys, but I'm working hard on them. I said, boys, y'all need this, I'm telling you. That's cool, man.
Chris GraingerMan, Kenny, this has been great. I really enjoyed just hearing your testimony. I've been looking forward to this one for sure. Anything else on your side before we got to get to the last items today?
Kenny OsborneJust remember again what Billy Graham said. The the hilltops are great for inspiration and for views, but fruit is grown in the valley. So don't waste a hard time. If you're in a hard time, grow. Grow. And you're gonna do that through prayer and study, meditation on the word. Amen.
Chris GraingerAmen to that, brother.
Dad Jokes And Guarding Marriages
Chris GraingerWell, guys, I mean, thanks so much for listening. We got a couple things before we wrap up, Kenny. We do have a book to week called Newly Wed. I don't have it for some reason. It's not I couldn't find it, but you guys go back and listen. It's Mike Novotney's book. Go listen to that one. Uh hit the last podcast and grab his his book. And then I got two dad jokes for you, Kenny. I'm gonna run by you, man. See what see how they land on you, okay? Alrighty. We have to do that. Now these these come from John Murray. So uh he sent me these. Normally they come from Doug. Yeah, they normally come from Doug, but just right, John's in your group. That's right. Yeah, he is, he sure is. So um, so do you know why uh cows don't have any money?
Kenny OsborneI do not know why cows don't have money.
Chris GraingerWell, because farmers milk them dry. I thought that's pretty good. It's gonna be hard to beat that one, I'll be honest with you. Right, right. That's pretty good.
Kenny OsborneFor a dad joke, that's that's pretty I don't even know that. That's pretty good.
Chris GraingerYeah, yeah. And then so the second one John sent me was what you know, why did the orange, like like you eat an orange, why did an orange lose a race? I don't know. It ran out of juice.
Kenny OsborneThis may be the toughest decision I've had of all the ones you've done. These are for two pretty good jokes. I'm gonna have to go with the cow and the farmer because I just love farming. Um those are actually usually to me, it's a pretty obvious choice. That's close.
Chris GraingerI think that one will go right down the line, I believe. It's gonna be a toss-up that week when this one comes out, no doubt. And uh we put these out every week, fellas, in the lion's den. And then you get to vote, and then you get to pick on the guy who who voted wrong, you know. And we promote, we promote the picking. But uh but anyway, that's the dad jokes, fellas. A question of the week is how how are you helping your brother guard his marriage? And we talked about that a lot this week, fellas. We can't just sit idly by. If we see a brother who's who's uh struggling, and maybe he's his eyes are looking in areas he shouldn't be, or words are coming out they shouldn't be regarding as his spouse, look, we're not just gonna sit idly by. We gotta stand up and and step in. Because sometimes they just they just need to hear it, and they need someone bold enough who loves them enough to to to speak the truth to them. So think about that, guys. And Kenny, anything else you got for us today, bud? God bless y'all. Keep up the good work. Thank you so much.

Sexual Integrity Support Group Invite
Chris GraingerIt's time to stop battling pornography, lust, and temptation alone. We're done sitting on the sidelines, seeing shame win, and hearing from guys that are fighting private wars with no backup. So we decided it's time to fight back. We have our sexual integrity support group, which is a confidential space inside the lion's den for men who are ready to step into the light and pursue real freedom. This isn't just for guys in crisis, by the way. It's for any man who's tired of the cycle, who's tired of living in secret, who's tired of saying this is gonna be the last time. Look, most guys don't need another app or some rules. They need some brothers to come alongside them to say you're not the only one. This doesn't define you. And freedom is possible. So look, inside our group, you're gonna find a confidential, judgment-free forum to engage and ask questions. You'll have honest conversations without condemnation. And you'll also have a monthly call with a trusted guide. So look, this isn't just about stopping pornography. It's about becoming a man of integrity, a man aligned, a man who lives in freedom, not secrecy. And you don't have to clean yourself up first to come. You just have to step in. So our sexual integrity support group is found inside the lion's den. And you can start that today with a 30 day free trial. So if you're ready to stop fighting alone and need that extra support, start your 30 day free trial right now at thelionwithin.us. That's thelionwithin.us, and step inside the lion's den.
