Chris Grainger:

Welcome to the Lion Within Us, a podcast serving Christian men who are hungry to be the leaders God intends you to be. I'm your host, chris Granger. Let's jump in. All right, boys, fun Friday time, let's get into it, okay. Scripture of the week. This week has been Jeremiah 1, verse 5. Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, and before you were born, I consecrated you, I appointed you a prophet to the nations. Love that verse Definitely spent some time unpacking that in our spiritual kickoff episode, fellas.

Chris Grainger:

So that's two back in your podcast feed and, if you like, those. That's all it is. We try to help you simplify and apply God's word. That's it. You enjoy it. We do it Monday through Friday in our Lion Within Us community and it's completely free. So go check out the daily spiritual kickoff. Go to the line withinus, click on daily spiritual kickoff and get that started right now. All right, now, while you're there, go ahead and join the community too. I'm telling you, unreal, unreal resources within the leadership mastermind.

Chris Grainger:

Our last episode I'm going to be straight up, was absolutely incredible. I'm not saying it because it's our show, it's our podcast. No, sometimes the shows they lack a little. Let's just be real. But this one hit on all eight cylinders, 100%. Seth Gruber brought the house down.

Chris Grainger:

The 1916 Project man. What a resource of information, insight, wisdom. Gave us some real practical challenges there as well. I'm blessed by it. Hopefully you're blessed by it and go check out the 1916projectcom. Check out that documentary.

Chris Grainger:

Get plugged in because, fellas, we need to take some action. Enough sideline participants just watching. We can't do that. You got to actively get into the game, all right. So now for our fun Friday. Let's get into it. We're going to always do a health wealth. And so now for our fun Friday, let's get into it. We're going to always do a health, wealth and self. That's health is mind and body, wealth, career and finances, self, husband and father. All this stuff is how can we improve in these areas of our life as Christian men, okay, and as leaders that God has called us to be, so that health? Really think about taking some time. I mean, he's had me just really thinking. I mean he's had me just really thinking.

Chris Grainger:

Pray for clarity and courage on what you need to do as we just facing this culture of death really starts coming to our, our, our, our front doorstep more and more each day. Because, I'm telling you, advocating for life is not always popular, and that's crazy to say, but it's always popular and that's crazy to say, but it's always essential. And the fight for the unborn starts with your own heart, and prayer equips you with the clarity to see where God is calling you to take a stand. And I don't know if you listen to Seth and his passion and his fervor, his just absolute drive. That comes after years and years and years of just soaking in God's word. And now he's ready, he's equipped to go out and do what God's called him to do.

Chris Grainger:

So if your mouth, if your, if your mind rather, is clouded with fear or or anxiety, or doubt, or whatever it may be, you're probably not going to speak up when you matter, when it matters most, you just probably won't. But when you take the time to recognize that, you're plugging in to the author and perfecter of life and you're letting him guide and direct you, man, I'm going to tell you what him guide and direct you, man, I'm going to tell you what you'll be a massive, massive disruptor and get in this culture of death that is surrounding us. Has that healthy mind coupled with that spirit, you're going to be a force to be reckoned with, buddy. Think about that Now. Your wealth tip right. Support life-saving ministries. I'm just going to be straight up, budget for it and spend your money there, fellas, because it can't just be about belief. It has to be about backing period. Okay, put your money where your mouth is. So, for guys like Seth, the 1916 Project. For guys like Preborn, the one that we support with our family, whatever it may be, whatever you find your alignment is there, actually put your finances there, because that's a powerful resource in this fight.

Chris Grainger:

And when you intentionally give to, like pregnancy centers and foster care networks or adoption agencies, you're not only helping to save lives, you're offering up hope. So this takes intentionality. Build some of your budget around giving in these areas that align to your values. I highly recommend the way we do regular, recurring donations. Set it up so you don't have to think about it and it's just going there, and this could be towards ultrasounds, towards counseling, towards diapers or safe homes, whatever it may be. Find that thing that you feel like God's calling to and then do something about it. Don't wait for wealth to accumulate before you act, guys. Give now. Give intentionally, because your generosity in this situation, in this case, could literally be the difference between life and death. So there you go, self-tip We've got to teach our kids about the value of life.

Chris Grainger:

They need to know the truth, because your kids are watching and they're learning, and if they don't hear from you, they're going to hear the world's altered version, and that version usually centers on convenience and self. Let's just be real and you are the spiritual leader of your home. That means it's your responsibility to teach your kids Right. They need to know that every life is sacred. They need to know from womb to tomb period.

Chris Grainger:

So you have to start this early. You got to frame up conversations around being made in God's image. Just start there. Then talk about the reality of the unborn life Psalm 139. And the ultimate call we all have as Christians is to defend the defenseless. Proverbs 31 talks about that. Encourage them to ask questions. Guys, come at this from an empathetic standpoint and show them a heart that grieves injustice but still will take action. They need to know that their dad is pissed off and here's what he's doing about it. Ok, if you raise your kids with a strong moral compass, right, it's going to impact how they view the most vulnerable and that's how we win this battle. One generation at a time, one conversation at a time. One changed heart and we have to foster our children's, their hearts, first and foremost. There are three tips for you guys Praying for that clarity and courage. Get the mind right, supporting those life-saving ministries. Put your money where your mouth is and then teach your children the value of life. That's that generational impact.

Chris Grainger:

So the book of the week? No big surprise 1916 Project. Go, get your copy of the 1916 Project. I'm not even kidding, for real. I read it in two days. It's a heavy read. I don't highly. I don't recommend. It's like 150, 150 pages, man. It's not that long but it's impactful, one of the most impactful books I've ever read in my life. Highly. Encourage you to do that as well as just go to the 1916projectcom. Get set up with your church so they can do a screening of the documentary. He said he told me offline or was it online, I can't remember 76 minutes. So an hour and 16 minutes is how long the documentary is. Fellas, you're going to want to put this in front of your leaders so that you guys can take the knowledge that he's sharing and then start doing something with it. All right, fellas, dad jokes Got two of them this week.

Chris Grainger:

The first one is I asked my dog what is two minus two? He said nothing Smart dog. Number two is what does a sprinter eat before a race Sprinter, before race? They don't eat anything, they fast. So there you go, fellas, number one and number two. Let me know which one you like. First one is I asked my dog what is two minus two? He said nothing. The second joke is what does a sprinter eat before race? Nothing, they fast. So let me know which one you like. Remember, eye rolls totally count. Sides are okay too, and if you have a dad joke that you want us to use that we haven't used before, send it to us support at thelinewithinus. We'll plug it in on the show. We'll give you a shout out on the show as well and give you some resources along the way. All right, question of the week.

Chris Grainger:

This week was about how are you defending the voiceless in today's culture? You directly. It can't be something for someone else, man. There's easy ways to pass the buck, but at some point we got to pick up and own it ourselves. So what are you doing there? And if you're not doing anything, why I'm telling you conversations like this with Seth Gruber this week. If that doesn't convict you to take action, I give up. I don't know what else I can do. Right, that's a. That's a between the spirit and you, but you've been moved by what we shared this week and I truly pray that you have been.

Chris Grainger:

You can't just sit on this. You can't just put it in your pocket and scroll to the next podcast. Yeah, you probably want to listen to another one. Fine, but in the meantime, go to the website, start having conversations, forward this episode to your pastor, be like hey, can we talk about this? I think you need to hear this guy Because you can even get him or some of the other speakers that they have the White Rose Resistance and they can come and be speakers and start transferring the knowledge to the people that need to hear it, and that's every believer out there. That's the audience. The believers need to hear this so that we can do something and take action. That's it, fellas. Hope you've enjoyed this week.

Chris Grainger:

I know it's been a heavy topic. I know it has been the time you start talking about pornography or abortion or all this pro-life stuff. I'll tell you what it gets heavy. But that's why you're here, because we're trying to equip you to, to to be the leader that God intends you to be, and that starts with getting the knowledge we need so that we can recognize evil for what it is, so that we can take appropriate course correction. All right, guys, the lion withinus that's the lion withinus.

Chris Grainger:

Go, get your resources. Start your daily week, your daily SKO, your weekly roar. Check us out on the Bible app. Got tons and tons and tons of Bible studies out there. Chris Grainger:

I've got something big to share.

Chris Grainger:

We're making a major shift because we know the battle was real and it's time more men had access to the support they need.

Chris Grainger:

For too long, guys have been trying to carry the weight alone pressure at work, tension at home, wounds from the past and a world that demands strength but offers no place to rest. We see it, we've lived it, and that's exactly why we built our community. It's a stronghold, a place where warriors can find rest, truth and a band of brothers standing beside them. And starting now, we're making it easier than ever to step in. We've lowered the barrier to just $15.99 a month. That means, for less than the cost of a drive-thru lunch, you can join a brotherhood that's centered on Christ and built for growth. Inside you'll find access to our daily spiritual kickoffs every Monday through Friday, our Lion Lunches, our Bible Studies, our Friday Forge Gatherings all that and so much more. Every man needs a stronghold, and you don't have to fight alone. If you've been waiting for the right time to jump in, this is it. Go to thelionwithinus and join the community and see for yourself what happens when iron truly sharpens iron.
